The Zippers were a good powerpop band on the scene with a strong local following. Danielle Faye played bass like... well, like a bass player.

I liked them, and caught their set whenever I could.

Danielle and sister DeeDee seemed to always be out and about on the scene and I ran into them frequently.

DeeDee's friend, Donna Santisi, was a photographer and documented much of the goings on after dark in Hollywood around this scene. She published a little photo book called Ask The Angels that tells much about the attitude & mood of the times. I don't think that many were made, but I wouldn't be surprised if everyone who bought one still has it - I still have mine. Google her name, she has lots of pix on tap.
